«The 7th International Conference on Ethnomathematics (ICEm-7) will be held virtually on 7-10 December 2022. For the first time, ICEm-7 shall be hosted jointly by academic institutions in the Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal and Papua New Guinea. These countries belong to a culturally diverse region where there is a burgeoning scholarship on ethnomathematics. […] This year’s theme is: Ethnomathematics: Embracing Diverse Knowledge Systems for Social Justice and Peace.».

Pela primeira vez, a ICEm-7 será sediada conjuntamente por instituições acadêmicas nas Filipinas, Indonésia, Nepal e Papua Nova Guiné.
